A PLAYFUL UNIVERSE: BRINGING PICKY MONDAY TO LIFE
Collaborating with Leïla and Picky Monday, a beloved San Francisco-based brand specializing in secondhand children's clothing, was a journey of creativity and trust. Tasked with expanding their brand universe beyond the logo, I crafted an environment that is vibrant yet understated, where every element celebrates the joy and sustainability of their mission.
Inspired by Alexander Calder's geometric mobiles, the boutique's design transforms the space into a whimsical bestiary of suspended shapes. These playful forms, both dynamic and delicate, guide visitors through the store, creating an experience that feels like stepping into a living storybook. The result is a harmonious blend of color, movement, and simplicity—an inviting world that delights children and adults alike, while staying true to Picky Monday's ethos of joyful, conscious living.
Structure, drawn in line
The wireframe study echoes the thin-line thread that runs through the studio's identity — the same logic as the section separators, made three-dimensional. Replace with the client's supplied B&W filaire visual.
